As the Wellness Associate (Budtender) in Pennington, NJ, you play a critical role in the overall operations and success of our licensed cannabis retail store. Your primary responsibilities will be customer service, product education and point-of-sale transactions.
Responsibilities:
- A Wellness Associate (Budtender) should be outgoing, patient, and motivated to create a safe and welcoming environment for all customers with varying levels of cannabis knowledge
- Ability to answer customers’ questions and assist customers with selecting suitable cannabis products through means of product education and intentional guidance
- Familiarity with methods of consumption, cannabinoids and terpenes
- Keep up to date on the latest developments in New Jersey cannabis laws and regulations to maintain legal compliance
- Ensure compliant transactions by reviewing customers identification in accordance with company policy and state regulations
- Handle cash and complete Point of Sale transactions with accuracy
- Participate in inventory intake process to inspect and label products delivered to the retail store
- Ability to de escalate customer concerns and escalate to management where necessary
- Ensure that the dispensary is clean and well-organized at all times
Qualifications:
- Preference for experience with METRC and Dutchie
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment

Additional Requirements:
- Must pass any and all required background checks
- Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry
- Must possess valid driver’s license
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
- Must be approved by the state badging agency to work in cannabis industry
Salary: $16.00 – $18.00 per hour
- 10 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Rotating Weekends, weekends as needed
- Expected hours: 40 per week
