The ‘Peg’ in OGeez! pays homage to its founder, Peggy Noonan (not that one), a cannabis trailblazer in Arizona’s 1960s-1970s legacy market. After graduating from Arizona State University, she began trafficking cannabis from Mexico and dealing in Arizona. After two arrests, Peggy moved back to New York where she built a new life as a drug counselor and then entrepreneur.
When Arizona passed its Medical Marijuana Act in 2010, Peggy saw an opportunity to re-enter the industry—this time legally. She launched Cornucopia, an edible company dedicated to precisely dosed, great-tasting products. But nothing resonated quite like her gummies. Frustrated with the chalky, bitter aftertaste of most edibles, Peggy set out to make something better. And thus, OGeez! was born.
Even after being diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia in 2017, Peggy continued pushing cannabis forward. When she passed in 2021, her son, Bran Noonan, took the reins, determined to continue her legacy. Now, OGeez! has made its way to New Jersey, where Bran calls Maplewood home.
